Jason Chatten- Compliance and Administration Director

What do I do?

I manage the compliance and administrative processes for Newlands Healthcare. Together, with my compliance team we make sure that we exceed the compliance standards for the recruitment of healthcare professionals. I also work with external suppliers of care services as a consultant to enable them to achieve the standards set for them by the CQC and other regulatory bodies. With my team of compliance assistants, we have extensive experience of formulating processes, action plans and documentation in order to give our clients the compliance outcomes they want. We provide external, independent investigations to Health and Social Care and provide this to Councils, NHS and Private Clients.

I have over thirty years’ experience in the healthcare sector and have worked with adults, children and

people with learning disabilities in residential and community care settings.

  •Social Care Institute of Excellence Frontline Managers programme

  •In Service in Social Care (CCETSW)

  •Preliminary Certificate in Social Care (CCETSW)

  •Diploma in Management (Distinction)

  •Supervisory Management Certificate

  •NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate

  •NCFE in Infection Control

  •Mental Capacity act trained trainer

My background

I started in the care Industry in 1984 and have had varied roles as a registered manager running services residentially with Adults, Children, and people with Learning Disabilities. I later managed in the community setting in traditional domiciliary care before developing specialist service teams and cluster care across West Kent.

My career path led me to manage Enablement and Hospital Discharge Services in the public sector; this was followed by a post as a Registered Manager for extra care services for a National leading Housing provider. I have a wide range of experience in training, supporting staff and organising teams. This allows me to be a proficient organiser who can meet a wide variety of regulatory requirements including CQC essential standards. I have worked with a number of different companies delivering technology solutions for rosters, payroll,databases, and invoicing and compliance tools. I enjoy making a difference to individuals care experiences and I believe that by using technology correctly, we can make tasks easier to manage for care providers.

We provide external and Independent investigations for Grievance,Discipline and Complaint as well as for Health & Safety Audit and Inspection.
